  • App won’t connect to hub 1 year ago

I actually got mine to work by trying different wifi settings on my router. So, even though I could see the X1 on my network, with an assigned IP, it wasn't working with the app when my WiFi uses channel 1. (despite all of the other devices on my WiFi network working fine, including my phone). So I've changed my WiFi channel to something else, and now the app can see my X1 Hub.

In my case, my network is NOT a mesh network. 2.4ghz, tplink vr2600 running openwrt 21.02.1, standard wpa2 security. And I can see that the C1 Hub has connected to the network (it shows up in my router's device table, name='espressif', and it has been assigned an IP address). But the app cannot find the Hub.

Same problem. My wifi access point is a router running OpenWRT 21.02.1 . I can see the device is on the network, but the app is stuck "searching" for it.

How does the X1 hub advertise itself / what is the app looking for exactly? I see that the X1 hub appears with the hostname "espressif"

I have the same problem. Android here (Samsung S10e), my SSID is not hidden, my phone is connected to same WiFi network as hub, green light on hub after sending the credentials, and the app just sits there saying "Searching for X1-Hub via Wi-Fi" and never actually getting further.
