For the Sony X800M2 I had to "learn from existing remote" to have the U1 operate all the relevant commands. A tedious process considering the Bluetooth connection frequently drops out

I have the same situation with my LG TV. I can find no other solution than pressing the button that you've programmed to switch HDMI inputs. As you write it is only an additional button but is, I agree, nonetheless frustrating. I have also found the build quality of the U1 to be very poor. the remote buttons gradually stopped working until they finally died, afte ronly 6 months. i have requested an replacement unit but to no avail. If there was a viable alternative I would happily purchase it

The app version I am using on my Android phone is 3.1.4 which was updated via Play Store on 24 Dec 2021. It has not resolved the poor connection between my phone and the remote. The connection is lost very frequently when programming a command. For the avoidance of doubt I am only programming infra red devices
