I don't understand your question. I believe it's using infrared. I believe it's updated but how do I check? I put what my app on my iPhone says.

I don't really understand what you are saying to do here. So what I am saying is that I have the remote setup and it will work. Then a few days later, I pick up the remote, and it won't do anything when I hit the buttons. The hub doesn't blink or seem to respond. The only way it starts working again is if I unplug it and plug it back in, which is a PAIN!
