Got past this. The power on test from the Android app does not work, but after I synced the X1 remote and went into the device there, was able to power it on with "boot", and power it off with "power off". Added some more devices and so far communication is working. I have to say, the setup for my 12-year-old Logitech Harmony was easier - alas a new TV came in that has no IR control, so end of the line for the Harmony.

I got stopped right here, first device, my receiver Yamaha RX-V863. It won't turn it on or off. What is the the problem? Why is this ten year old receiver not supported. Very disappointed. If the receiver does not work, nothing else will. Where is the help button? WTF?
