  • How to record and fast forward on Sky Q? 1 year ago

If you have added SkyQ using Bluetooth try adding it instead using the IR database or vis versa. I found with my Humax Aura that the Bluetooth database was missing some buttons but were there in the IR database. As far as the lack of a record button on the X1 I have programmed a long press of OK to be record in my Watch Aura Activity but you can assign any short key press or long key press button you like.

  • App is not working with Andriod 14 1 year ago

Just in case Sofabaton do not reply to this to let you know it has already been reported to which they have said they have fixed it and an update is due next week. If you can't wait e-mail them and ask for an advanced copy.

Thank you for the quick reply but I cannot connect using WiFi as I don't have a Bridge. You can connect directly to the newer bulbs using just Bluetooth without the need for a Bridge (for basic functionality) and is the reason for my request.

  • Desired feature - re-order the keys/macros in the activities 1 year ago

Totally agree with this request. It's really annoying to have the least used ones at the top and there is nothing you can do about it.

@TroisSix. Totally agree, the way this forum works is pretty bad, no paragraphs, no edit, no notifications to name a few. There doesn't seem to be a pattern as to who they will answer and who they don't. Mind you my native language is English and I struggle/can't understand some peoples’complaints. I have never used the app to contact them but they have always replied to my e-mails the same day or within a couple of days, although sometimes it has taken a few e-mails for them to understand what I was saying. They even sent me a custom interim firmware when they removed a feature I use before putting it back in in the next official update. So I have no complaints but I can see how others can have.

  • IR Function 1 year ago

Prushing & gregeusa answered this further down the thread but to clarify. U1 & U2 have IR in the handset but do not have a Hub so would need a separate extender (available from your favourite online shop). The X1 does NOT have IR in the handset, it’s in the Hub, BUT it also comes with 3 Blasters in the box that you can connect to the hub and run to within view of your TV (and/or a second/third cupboard). From memory they are about 2-3 metres long. If you need to run them any further I believe you can buy extensions. If your equipment is really that far away and you cannot run the Blasters alongside your very long HDMI cable to the TV then look elsewhere as none of the Sofabatons will serve your purpose.

  • Wheel malfunctioning 1 year ago

If its still under warranty e-mail them with a video of the issue and they will replace it. They did with me. If its out of warranty or you just wish to fix it get some Electrical Cleaner (its nonconductive so don't just use any old cleaner) quick squirt down the gap and all will be well again.

  • Remote goes back to main menu while charging 1 year ago

I thick they are asking for Remote & Hub Firmware Versions. Mine is Remote 11 and Hub 15 and doesn't go to Main screen when charging, maybe some other versions do.

IR learning does seam to be a bit hit and miss. I have 2 aircon units it learnt one no problem but refused to learn the second. I also have 2 Panasonic TV remotes it will learn from one but not the other. Even stranger I have another learning remote that if I teach it the Panasonic codes the X1 won't learn and then use that to teach the X1 it works. One last tip, another remote I tried that it wouldn't learn in the daylight it did in the dark!

In the app go to Devices / Edit / Edit on the device you wish to change its behaviour / Power Settings / Power State. There are 4 options, I think the one you want is “Always on, unless the Off key is pressed” but never used it personally I prefer equipment that's not in use to be Off.
