The Long Press function can be a little confusing, and to explain. It is a separate feature that allows you to have twice the button count so for example my Long Press of Mute is set to bring up TV Picture Modes. It should not be set for what I call Press and Hold of a button, so the correct configuration for the volume buttons is “Short Press: Volume_xx(Denon)” and “Long Press: Not Configured”. When set to “Not Configured” the Long Press Feature is not used and pressing and holding the button works like a normal remote.

The AVR S570BT code base is one of many Denon codes that the Volume is slow and as all models (I say all but its all the ones I have tried) use the same IR codes try the AVR-S670H code base (I’ve tested this one and it works as it should). As its close to your model all the features yours has should be listed (if not try another). Delete the macro you have for Long Press Volume. In an Activity Volume should be “Short Press: Volume_xx(Denon)” and “Long Press: Not Configured”.

They are on their way out to reviewers and expect reviews from 17 Oct. Think I saw somewhere a release date of 25 Oct mentioned but that may be wrong and no price as yet.

Re Denon Volume - This has come up before and from memory its down to some of the code bases being wrong. My X3800 works fine but I was able to reproduce the slow volume using a different code set. Try downloading the X3800 set and try it, the volume buttons (and most, if not all the other buttons) should be the same code.

Assuming you mean press the ball again to send the start Activity again this can never happen as this will mean some Devises in the Activity will be out of sync. Also pressing it when in an Activity already has a function, saved Favourites and Macros come up on screen, if nothing happens you don't have any yet. The best way to solve your problem is to allocate a spare button, long press or create a Favourite within the Activity for the Power Button of the projector then when it goes to sleep just press this to wake it up.

If you want the Activity to always start on the same channel you can add the Macro (explained below) to the Startup Settings of the Activity. Assuming the box normally starts where you just key in a channel number.

The X1 and X1s do have Macros. To create one press Edit and select the Activity you wish to add one too, press Favorites then Add Macro Keys.

Just thought as you don't mention it, you are using the Remote and not the app? The app does not function the same way.

I have downloaded the AVR-S570BT code base and the volume when pressed and held goes down continually till released on my Denon. From your first post you appear to be programming it correctly “Currently the button mapping has no "long press" action selected”. Also the fact that your issue happens in Devises Mode indicates something else is wrong. Have you tried moving the Hub/Blasters around the room? It could be a line of sight or interference problem.

I could be misunderstanding “Cannot pair the remote with the hub. Pairing with the two upper buttons doesn't work” but you don't pair the remote with the hub using the remote you use the app. If I have misunderstood can you explain what the two upper buttons are not doing. Also this thread is about the words “Hub Lost” appearing on the remote screen, are you getting this?
