Sorry, but your advice leads to nothing. By pressing the 2 buttons together, nothing happens. No "pairing" appears in the remote screen. Any other advices?

I have the same problem. Doing the steps (pressing both buttons) doesn't lead to "pairing"! Nothing happens. Now my remote is useless.
