    Did you try Arris VMS4100?

To reset the X1 from the App, click "Me"-->"X1 Settings"-->"Restore Factory for X1-Hub"

  • X1 remote dead on arrival 1 year ago

Did you use the original USB type C charging cable that come with the package to charge the remote? If you used a third party type C charging cable, it may not work for the X1 remote. So try with the charging cable that comes with the package to charge the remote, and the remote screen should light up. Hope it helps.

  • I need major support 1 year ago

If you still have the user manual of X1, you can read FAQs' 2 to 4 to get some insights. The X1 hub has all the IR modules, so it matters where you place the Hub. If the hub is not able to face your Samsung TV and you’re not using IR blasters to help with the signal transitions, even you load the model correctly to the X1 remote, it won’t be able to control your TV. And same thing with your Spectrum cable box, if the IR signal is not able to send from the Hub to your cable box, it won’t work. For Apple TV 4K, you may need to press the home button on the X1 remote after you start the Apple TV 4K activity in order to wake up the Apple TV from a sleep mode.

  • Apple TV 4k home button back button 1 year ago

Bluetooth function is not available for Macro set up on the U1. If it's workable, you can connect the U1 with Apple TV 4K using IR. Then you can create a Macro including the Apple TV 4K's home button.

  • Add Arris VIP5202 (KPN 4K) 1 year ago

If you enter Arris as brand name and VIP5202 as model on the App, after it downloads and it doesn't work. Try to use only 52 as model, and click Search. So still use Arris as brand name, then enter 52 as model, then Search. The App will show you similar models, and you can try selecting "5202", try it on the X1 remote after it's downloaded and synchronized. If that still doesn't work, try it again, enter Arris as brand name, enter 52 as model, Search, then try another model as "VIP5202-1". Hope that helps.

  • Will not learn specific keys 1 year ago

Some background knowledge needs to be understood. The Xfinity cable box remote is a Radio Frequency (RF) remote, and the magic remote for the LG TV is not an 100% IR remote, either. The U1 can't learn from a RF or Bluetooth remote. However, the Xfinity cable box and LG TV are capable of receiving IR signal. When you select the Xfinity symbol from the Sofabaton App to add to the U1, the Home button on the U1 should be the guide, and the button next to it on the left (the "3-line" button) should be the menu. As for the Netflix and Prime video from LG TV, you need to reassign 2 buttons for Netflix and Prime video from the App. To do so, select LG TV from the App, select remote keys, pick one button on the App to customize, select reassign remote key, then look for Netflix from a function list on the right side of the App, click on it, and click Done. And you pick another button, follow the same steps, reassign it as Prime video.

  • How to use 1 year ago

You can use Bluetooth to connect the U1 and Apple TV. On the App, add a new device, select the Bluetooth symbol from "Add popular devices", then select Apple TV, click continue, click Next. The U1's screen should show "pairing with AppleTV "and that means the remote is ready to pair with Apple TV. And then you need to use your Apple TV remote, navigate to Settings on Apple TV, select Remote and Devices, select Bluetooth, and then find Sofabaton from other devices, and pair with it. And you will find a Bluetooth symbol on the remote indicates the Apple TV is paired with U1 by Bluetooth. When that Bluetooth symbol disappears, you need to press an active function key on the remote to reconnect the U1 and Apple TV. Hope it helps.

  • Changing channels 1 year ago

Below is what I wrote for another user, hope it can help you, too. https://bbs.sofabaton.com/post/853 You need to create an activity for that first. For example, if you have a TV, a cable box. You need to create an activity by selecting the TV and cable box. After you set up the activity, then go to edit the activity, select "Keys Collection", select Macro keys, then Add favorite key, give a name for the Macro button, then add a command, select a device (your cable box), select a command, select 4, confirm, and save. That's for channel 4. Following the same steps, add another favorite key, name the 2nd macro button, add a command, select the cable box again, select a command as 5, confirm, then keep going to add a 2nd command, select the cable box, select no. 1 as the command, confirm, then add the 3rd command as no. 2, and save. And that's channel 512 After the remote is sync, you press the wheel on the remote to turn on the activity, after it becomes green, then press the wheel again, it will show you the channel 4 and channel 512 on the screen. Use the wheel to select, and press the wheel to go to the channel you want to watch.

  • Key mapping 1 year ago

You can select a particular device from the Sofabaton App that you want to find out the function on a button. For instance, select your receiver, select remote keys, then select a key from the "customize your remote", select "Reassign Remote Key", then look for the function that has a check mark, and that indicates the button's function. For remapping the functions for your receiver, you could choose the numeric key pads to reassign "Tuner", "HDMI 1" and video modes. You can select no. 1 on the App, select "reassign remote key", then look for "Tunner" on the function list from receiver. If it's available from the list, then you can select it, and click Done. The you pick another no. key to reassign another function.
