  • Can the x1 control two devices at once? 1 year ago

You need an activity to do that. On the App, create a new activity, select Directv and Sony receiver. Then follow the App's instructions, eventually you will see a screen that ask you what device is to control the volumes, select the Sony receiver. Then it will ask for what device is to control the other functions (meaning home, guide, channel up, channel down, etc), then you should select Directv. After you create an activity, the Hub should be able to sync with the remote automatically. Then you can use the remote to control the activity. If you’re not familiar with creating activity, you can select "Me" on the App, and select "video tutorial" to check out how to create an activity.

You can use "reassign remote key" on the App to achieve that. On the App, select your Blu-ray player, select remote keys, select volume up icon (on the left side), select reassign remote key, then select your soundbar on the device list (left side of the screen), then look for volume up function on the function list (right side of the screen), and select volume up (check mark will be shown afterward), then select "Done" on the top right corner. Repeat the above steps for reassigning volume down and mute. And you can repeat the steps for your other devices as well.

If your receiver model is Yamaha RX-A2080, you can add the model by searching the IR code. After it's downloaded, then you can select the receiver, select remote keys and re-map the keys with "Reassign Remote Key" and select the desired functions, or you can select "learn from original remote" and program the Sofabaton remote using your Yamaha remote.

  • Program Activity to Color key on X1 1 year ago

If you want to keep the activity that you already made and just want to fix the volume keys, yes, there's a way to fix that. Edit the activity, selete "Keys assignment for X1-Remote", click on the volume +, choose short press key, select "Normal keys", select "Device", select Denon, select "command", then look for volume up and select, then confirm, and confirm again; do similar procedures for volume down key. If you want to make a new activity instead, after you select the 3 devices during the setup, there will be a "Voice" screen on the App where you need to mark the Denon so that the X1 remote can control the volumes for the Denon, next, the Input Device is the Roku, so mark the Roku on the App, then name the new activity.

Here's what I wrote previously for a similar question: https://bbs.sofabaton.com/post/854 Hope it may help you. In your case, you need to "reassign" two input buttons for Xfinity and Fire TV.

  • Activities seem to over-write one another 1 year ago

One suggestion: when you add different sources to receiver, select all sources at once that you're going to use, because you can select multiple sources to make a list. After that, when you create another activity, you just need to choose the correct one from the list that you already make. In this way, the sources won't be moving around and should be in an order.

  • Button Re-Assignment completely non-functional with X1 1 year ago

You may reassign the back button as "exit" or "return" for your Samsung TV. When you do the repair key, and you test a function from IR cloud library, and it seems to be working when you "test" it, do one more step to make sure, is to "trigger" it. If the function can be triggered, it should work. And you may sync the hub with the remote afterward. Hope it helps.

  • New hub won't learn controls from Denon AVR-1906 remote 1 year ago

Changing the batteries for the Denon remote may help with the IR sending to the X1 hub.

  • Yamaha RX-V863 does not respond to IR. 1 year ago

Some receivers may require discrete power on/off buttons to be turned on/off. You could try the following steps to find out: select devices on the X1 remote, select the receiver, double click on the wheel, then look for functions such as power, power on, power off, sleep, etc. Click on the wheel to try each function and see if your receiver have any response or not. If there's a response, then you could edit the remote key using the App. There's a 2nd way, if you still have the factory remote, you could use that to teach the X1 hub for the commands. Hope it helps.
