Update: I downloaded the the settings from the database again, and now it works, Problem solved. -Long press (of e.g. the home button) can be configured for Zidoo Z9x and Orbsmart R81 media players, but it does not work with X1. Long press only delays the command configured for short press... Update: After some disussion with Sofabaton service they could solve the problem and provide an update of the database. - ...The scroll wheel does not work reliably. When I scroll, often either nothing happens or it goes in the wrong direction. ... Update: Thanks Dave480. I applied some electrical cleaner and now the scoll wheel works fine again. One more wish for the next update: It should be possible to sort the screen menu items in the activities.

I already complained about this problem last year and received a free replacement. Unfortunately, it has the same problem with the scroll wheel, and it is getting worse. This seems to be a common problem and we will have to live with it. I hope that sofabaton will use better hardware in the next generation of remotes (if there will be an update).

I have a similar problem with my Technisat K4 ISIO cable receiver. Try to create macros for each button which does not work, and add a short delay before or after the command. This might help until sofabaton hopefully solves the problem. With Logitech remotes I never had problems like this or like the one as described in my post "Zidoo Z9x no scrolling possible" from a week ago. I wonder what they did differently.

In the meantime I found out that not only scrolling, using the arrow buttons, doesn't work, but long press cannot be used for any button, e.g. configuring a command for long press of the home button doesn't do anything. Long press just delays the command which is configured for short press. I have configured my old Logitech Harmony 650 to use with the Zidoo media player (or Orbsmart R81, same hardware) the and it works without any problems. So there is an issue with the X1, not with the controlled device. sofabaton, please check this and provide an update.
