It is NOT correct that the Power button on the Apple TV 4K is meant to control the TV. It controls the Apple TV and the Apple TV receiving power triggers the CEC connection. This discrete and separate control can be easily proven by either 1) disabling CECon both devices, turning off both the TV and the Apple TV, and then pressing the Power button on the Apple TV remote and watching only the Apple TV turn on, or 2) leaving CEC enabled on both the TV and the Apple TV, pressing the Power button on the Apple TV remote, and seeing the Apple TV turn on first, and then the TV turning on around 1-2 seconds later. There is no good reason why the Sofabaton X1 shouldn’t have or at least be able to learn the Power button in an Apple TV codebase.
