  • Not sure how to simulate holding number buttons down 1 year ago

it is not a channel that it is setting or selecting. Rather the TV looks for if the number button is held down then it loads the application such as Disney+ or Hulu, etc. Those applications cannot be reached by using the normal "channel" operations of the TV. The functionality I am looking for would be similar to how a device responds to if the volume button is held down it will accelerate the change in volume or if the channel up/down are held down the device would start to move through the channels slowly then accelerate. The IR signal itself does not change, it just repeats and the device understands how to interpret that difference in the signal while the button is depressed. Similar to how the X1 "learns", where you "hold" the button while it looks for several iterations of the signal to identify the entire sequence. I've tried setting a macro and sending the same key over and over again but noticed that even if the delay is set to 0 there is still enough of a delay that it does not work and I can visibly see a pause in the sensor (LED) of the TV. Whereas when using the original remote or even other generic "universal" remotes and holding the number button the sensor (LED) of the TV flickers constantly with no visible pause.
