Thanks, I did have to unpair the remote from the TELUS box to have it go into IR mode to learn the IR commends, so far I think this will solve the problem.

@sofabaton is the X1s able to learn Bluetooth commands?

I did get word from Telus that the remote is only IR in the initial setup and once the remote connects to the box it is only Bluetooth no IR. I have tried to add Android TV box and Other but can't get it to learn button commands I only get the continously spinning circle regular or long pressing the Telus remote button nothing registers with the base.
