I am having the same issue with all my devices, long press doesn't work, whether it is to fast forward or bring up a menu on the Nvidia shield or raise and lower volume on my Denon, nothing works. There is not one single button that works with long press after update,

Same issue on my end. It doesn't connect even after 2-3 minutes or turning off my wifi and turning it on again. The remote is also not working randomly with the Nvidia shield and can't be synced or re-paired since I can't access the hub.

You can adjust it so that your TV and receiver stay on when changing activities until off is pressed. This is common among all universal remotes based on your second point. Are you referring to HDMI turning on the TV from another device? That isn't really the remotes fault, I would actually suggest turning that off as it can cause problems. I had a Logitech Harmony remote and had that set when I restored my Nvidia shield and it constantly turned off my tv when it went to sleep as I was playing a PS4 or watching a movie. Third point you have I have a similar issue when switching activates but I don't see this as a problem as the remote needs to sync with the devices and make sure they are all on and settings are correct. It can't really know it was powered on by another remote or device. The Harmony remote took longer than the X1 does. Your fourth point is the only issue I see, where the databases for devices aren't 100% complete or have all the devices. You can have it learn new remotes from the learn mode or buttons. Which I will have to do with the HDMI switch device I use. But I hardly call that a complete disaster. As someone who used the Harmony remote for years the X1 is pretty great. It has some issues and isn't 100% perfect yet and the recent Android release is having hub connection issues. But again I don't call it a complete disaster.
