What @Neorun said. And in the meantime you should put up a disclaimer or side note on the website because as of now it just is NOT fully compatible with Hue and when you just bought the new Hue Bridge as a first timer it's not compatible at all! One of the reasons I for one bought the XS1.
Just to check you are using the remote and not the app on a phone, the app does not do press and hold, “ramping” as you call it. If it is not working in Devises Mode it has nothing to do with the Long Press Feature as that only works in Activities. Did you try the AVR-S670H code base (I know you have a S570BT but it should work)? When you press and hold the volume button does the green light on the hub flash continuously or just once? And as an explanation the “Long Press Feature” allows each button to have 2 functions in Activities. So my 3 bars button in the PVR Activity is Short Press for Guide and Long Press for Recordings List and it can be for any devise in the Activity so my Short Press of Mute mute’s the Denon and Long Press of Mute cycles the TV Picture Modes. When this feature is used the button loses Press and Hold (ramping) functionality so is best not used on Volume and the Direction Arrows. And don’t worry “ramping” does work on the remote so it’s just a case of working out why yours isn’t.
Thank you for responding in this thread. As I mentioned in my post that you're responding to, my AVR. is the Denon S570BT. Long pressing the volume button on the X1 remote does not ramp the volume of the AVR. I've tried it both in device mode and in activities mode. I have used macro actions as well as normal button actions. I've used the cloud-based commands from sofabaton, and tried learning the long press volume button command directly from the Denon remote but still nothing I've tried works. Please help me to get this resolved before my wife hits me repeatedly in the head with the remote!
Thanks Dave480 - I will give that a shot....
The Long Press function can be a little confusing, and to explain. It is a separate feature that allows you to have twice the button count so for example my Long Press of Mute is set to bring up TV Picture Modes. It should not be set for what I call Press and Hold of a button, so the correct configuration for the volume buttons is “Short Press: Volume_xx(Denon)” and “Long Press: Not Configured”. When set to “Not Configured” the Long Press Feature is not used and pressing and holding the button works like a normal remote.
Dear Customer, We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have forwarded this device to our engineers to check. Unfortunately, the engineers are unable to add a long-press volume button. If you have the original remote control, you may try using the infrared learning function to replicate the volume buttons from the original remote.
