A reddit user u/InaudibleDirge found the solution, instead of using "other Bluetooth devices you should set it to " NexiGo Aurora Pro", the ok button works and the other buttons are unaffected (some tinkering needed)
I could be misunderstanding “Cannot pair the remote with the hub. Pairing with the two upper buttons doesn't work” but you don't pair the remote with the hub using the remote you use the app. If I have misunderstood can you explain what the two upper buttons are not doing. Also this thread is about the words “Hub Lost” appearing on the remote screen, are you getting this?
Dear Customer, I am sorry for the late reply. We sent this device back to our engineers to check. We are sorry that our engineers are unable to add the long press function at this time. We have escalated to our R&D team to assess the feasibility. Considering if we will add the long press feature in a future update.
Same here... Cannot pair the remote with the hub. Pairing with the two upper buttons doesn't work. No reaction on the remote. That's one of the courses why I put my X1 back into the box some months ago and didn't use it and more. Today I tried again, resetted Hub and implemented it again. But still no chance to get the remote connected/paired to the Hub. For me it's not usable and will find a new home in the trashcan I think.

It is a Zidoo Z9X. My research showed there are quite a few posts from people complaining that this is not working. So it would be great if this finally gets fixed.
