Sorry for the inconvenience, please note that your phone should not have VPN turned on. if your router is set up with AP isolation, it is recommended that you turn it off.
The X1 series has a steep learning curve and can be frustrating to start with but if you want to get the most out of what is easily the best universal remote, for the money, you will need something you clearly don't have, patience, so just send it back.
When you say it doesn’t work “consistently” implies to me it works sometimes so is probably due to the IR receiver being in a stupid place on the XG2V2 (as its intended to for RF use). Turn the XG2V2 over and look at the bottom front edge, you should see a tiny plastic rectangle along the curved edge, if the X1S Hub and/or a Blaster does not have a good line of site to it then this will be your problem. If I misunderstood your problem you could try unpairing the original remote this MAY switch it into IR mode so you can teach the X1S.
Thank you for contacting us, the X1S has been updated with a new version, the latest version of the ios app is 3.4.4, and the version of the hub is V3. The new update of the X1S adds the control of RF, and you can add it by selecting RF when you add the device.
Can I support on this somehow to speed up development? Can help test or can supply the key ids from the original remote using a keymapper app on my projector.
I have same issue, Verizon just upgraded my Motorola STB to this Android TV based Fios tv mini model F3544K49203, same issue channel up and down and guide command do not work over Bluetooth Most of the actions do not work with this new STB. I was able to pair it with the remote but key functions do not work.
