I thought that the U1 had the ability to reassign individual keys from one device to another. That is, I could change the "up arrow" button for my television to "volume up" from my Tivo by reassigning the key. And the steps I thought I'd been using were:
- Select the device (in my case) Samsung UN60 from the "Devices" screen
- Select "Remote Keys" from the "Samsung UN60" screen
- Choose the key I want to change on the screen
- Select "Reassign Remote Key" from the menu
- Select the device that I want the Samsung UN60 key to emulate from the list e.g., Tivo.
- Scroll until I find the right command, select it, press done.
Well, the above no longer works. The U1 steadfastly refuses to have its keys reassigned, and moreover, has assigned functions to keys that bear no relation to anything the TV ever does. For instance, what is Energy Savings? Anyway, could someone please examine the above and tell me where I'm going wrong?
