X1 frozen on “Syncing 0%” screen. Remote unresponsive. Reset??

My X1 remote is frozen! Setting up this remote has been a challenge! After adding all my devices and activities, the remote froze during the syncing process. It's been stuck on "Syncing 0%" for two hours and counting. The remote is close to the hub, but I can't do anything with it. Tried unplugging and repluging the hub. Nothing! I really want this to work, BUT, my experience so far is total frustration! 
What do I do now? How do I hard reset the remote? Bought this on kickstarter, so no option to return it. Now it's on Amazon for about what I paid for it on kickstarter. Super BUMMED!
