I have an ~2year old U1 and suddenly the screen is unusualy dim. In particular the right side of the display is especially dim, but the entire screen is dimmer than it was yesterday, The remote still transmits fine.
I hoped new batteries (or a reboot from puling the batteries) would help but that didn't brighten the display any. It's been a long time since I used the setup app, so I checked for a brightness option that maybe got reset. I found there is, and it is set to medium, which is barely visible. I tried high and it's only slightly brighter -- certainly nothing close to what it used to be. Low is basically off.
Any ideas to troubleshoot or repair? Is my remote trash now?
