Directv Sat Receiver Problem

I am using the U1 and have programmed my Roku TV successfully but I am trying to add support for Directv Satellite receivers the genie mini in particular. I select DirecTv or DIRECTV and put in my model number and download the IR codes successfully but it doesn't control my Sat Receiver Directv genie mini. Has anyone experienced this and have any troubleshooting tips.
