Correct button mapping for nVidia Shield (Android TV)

cauliflowerrhythm 1 year ago ⋅ 2262 Read it

I'm looking to find out if anyone has figured out how to properly set up the buttons on nVidia Shield (Android TV). I'm able to navigate my apps fairly well, but I am missing two important buttons: Back button, and Home button.

Without these buttons, navigating Android TV is a lot more cumbersome, and you can't really navigate the options menu of Android TV without them. You also lose the ability to double tap the home button to switch between apps or close apps. Netflix is also a pain to use without these buttons.

I have tried all the "home" and "back" options offered in the SofaBaton App for Android, but none of them do anything. Also, why are there so many "home" options in the first place? There is "home page", "Home1" and "Home", and none of them act as the Android remote's home button.

Please let me know if anyone has a solution.

Thanks.
