Bluetooth pairing problem

I have just purchased a SofaBaton U1 to replace Logitech. serial number: X002C7D075 I an unable to pair the SofaBaton with any of my iphones or my ipad, so cannot even complete the initial setup. I have emailed SofaBaton but have not received any response. Can you please help, thanks.
