I just got the U1 remote and have an Onkyo TX-NR777 receiver. It appears that the SofaBaton command database has the Onkyo commands, because I get a message that the information has downloaded to the device correctly. I can use the remote to power the receiver on and off and change volume. However, that's all I can do.
The receiver has multiple input channels (CBL/SAT, STRMBOX, etc.). I've tried to "teach" the U1 remote so that it will switch between input channels. I'm trying to use the colored buttons for the input channel selector to allow me to switch modes.
I've had it succeed in teaching the U1 for a couple of the corresponding buttons from the Onkyo remote. Even when the SoftBaton app from my iPhone says that the U1 learned successfully, I can't control or switch input channels on the receiver.
