Long Press on Apple TV

Is there a way to send a long press command? When I try this, it just sends a normal press command. For example, in the Apple TV App, using the Apple remote, you can long press the OK button to bring up more info/options for the selected content. As far as I can tell, there is no way to replicate this with the X1. When I try a long press, it just selects the content as usual, like if I just pressed the OK button normally.
