Tried the latest release for Android App v3.1.7. Sofabaton had fixed the following:
- 1-Tasks loading in the Activity for on/off setup.
- 2-The wake up it takes from the time the X1 remote sleeps to my AndroidTV (SHIELD) respond to my button clicks is about 3 max.
Wish list for future fixes.
- 1-Unable to work with vlan setup in my current network. My mobile phone have to connect to the slower 2.4ghz WiFi unlike my Harmony Hub remote.
- 2-Android App unable to work on a rooted Android phone unlike Harmony App.
- 3-For some reasons, I did not get the context menu (a.k.a pop up menu) when i hold Select/OK button on X1. With the context menu I can move/uninstall my App icons. I don't have such issues with my Harmony Hub.
- 4-I don't see any mic hole on the X1 remote. Hopefully, the Google Voice/Alexa will still be achievable in future firmware fixes.
- 5-X1 remote shows "Close.." when off button is pressed seems to be a direct translation.
All-in-all my initial setup experience was a pain. With the above improvements is getting better thus far. However, it is still unable to replace my current Harmony Hub remote especially when the context menu function is missing.
