I finally received and set up my X1 from the Kickstarter campaign. So far it's not bad, but there are a few big issues. Hopefully these can be addressed:

Waking up the remote "eats" the first button press. It goes to sleep after 10 seconds, and then takes at least one button press to wake up and start working. It's actually a bit worse - it seems to be about 1-2 seconds after you press the first button that it start actually sending anything. This is the biggest issue I have right now - it completely destroys the day-to-day usability.

Incompatibility with dual networks - pairing would not work at all on my standard network (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, same SSID). I had to put the remote on a 2.4 GHz only network before it would work, and now I have to connect my phone to that network every time I want to change anything. This is just sloppy, and there is no excuse for it - this network configuration is getting more and more common.

API and integrations - no link to homeassistant or other home automation software. Without the integrations, it's just a slightly fancy remote - no way to build it into automations with other systems.
