【Tutorial】 Guidelines for connecting X1-Hub to wifi

If the HUB cannot connect to the network, please refer to the following video to complete. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvCGN_Bmmf4

Please connect the HUB to the router directly, don't use Mesh Repeater to connect. Setup is done using an Android or iOS app on your phone or tablet. A 2.4 GHz WiFi network is required for setup (there is no 5 GHz support).

The mobile phone and the HUB need to be connected to the same router.

All signals are sent from the HUB, and the remote control communicates with the HUB via RF.

The HUB must be placed in the same space as the device and must be within 30 feet.

If it cannot be connected, please restart the power of the HUB, open the APP and search for the X1 HUB again.

If the above method still cannot be used, then please make sure your router has a HomeShield Pro function, which will prevent the HUB from connecting to your network. please turn off the HomeShield Pro function or authorize X1 access.

You can also share a hotspot with another mobile phone, use this hotspot as a router, connect both the HUB and the mobile phone to this hotspot, and then see if the HUB can be found. If yes, you can use the hotspot to pair the HUB first.

After the remote has already been set up the HUB no longer needs to be connected to WiFi unless you're using WiFi to control one of your devices.

Currently, only 3 WiFi devices are supported: Roku, Philip hue, and Sonos speaker.

Rest assured, we will continue to update the X1's firmware to be compatible with more routers. (The X1 remote is temporarily not compatible with Amazon eero mesh WiFi)

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
