I see this mentioned in other posts but I have the same problem. I just can't get the app to learn any code from any remote I have tried. I don't expect the code database to have every single device ever made, but the code learning has to work as a fall-back.
This is a real shame because I think the hardware is very good, nice design and feels good quality, but it is unusable to me because of this issue as I can't get it to work with my devices.
