Alexa and Sofabaton Skill linked but not working with X2

I have a X1S and recently upgraded to X2 and would like to control my activity "Watch TV" using voice with Alexa.  I linked the skill and after a brief search it reports no devices found.  Following Google's suggestion I disabled it, and setup and registered a Sofabaton account instead of using Apple login.  Now I login and link the skill with that, but still no devices found during search. What am I missing?  Is there a tutorial of how to do this, or is it just the case that the Alexa Sofabaton skill is broken?
