Incomplete RF 433Mhz Support - Hardware or Software Limitation?

Hi!
I received my X2 remote last week and looked forward to use it to also control my external blinds with it. By stumboling upon this thread on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SofaBaton/comments/1p2k233/sofabaton_433mhz_rf_support/ i learned that 433 Mhz devices often dont use exactly 433.00 Mhz, but small variations like 433.42 or 433.92 Mhz and in it's current state the X2 can't control such devices. Im wondering if this is a hardware limitation of the X2 (not fixable) or if this is something that could be fixed/extended in a future firmware update? Thanks!
