U1 remotes are not able to turn on fire tv's at our business (toshiba and hinsense after an extend period of time (overnight etc.). They work fine once we turn the tv's on with facotry remotes, and even if we turn off and back on wthin a short peroid of time, but not after 15 plus minutes.
