Resend activity commands even if already the current activity

Some of my gear (projector/Amp) have a sleep timer to protect the bulb etc. If this goes off and I'm in an activity....I would like the activity to resend commands if I select it again. Curently it doesnt seen to, and I have to mess about finding devices and turning them on individually. This must be common?
