X1s hub and Apple TV issue

Hi,  I've just install an X1S remote and hub and am using it control my home theater.  Equipment is a Sony TV and receiver and an apple TV.  Overall, it seems to work well except for one issue.  When I first try to turn the system on,  everything EXCEPT the Apple TV unit turns on and nothing from the Softbaton will turn it on.   Then is use the Siri remote to turn on the Apple TV and then I can control it from the Softabaton remote.  After that,  all day long,  I can turn things off and on,, even the Apple TV, using just the X1S remote.  It's only over night that  it seems to have the problem and then just until the Apple TV gets turned on the first time.  I've set the Apple TV to never sleep, thought that would help but doesn't seem to do it.   Anybody have ideas?
