Hi,
I had a Harmony Ultimate for a long time now and I wanted to try the Sofabaton X1 :)
The X1 is very nice, simple to use, easy to configure, and that's it for now. When I read the posts I fear for the lacks of basic functionalities.
Here is what I suggest :
- (1. possibility to create the activities without activating the devices (really annoying) : Solved: click on edit on top of the list of activities.)
- 2. It is currently not possible to add a device to an existing activity (without deleting and re-creating the activity...). Sofabaton said: under development, the next version upgrade can be implemented?
- 3. miss a web interface to modify the configuration without using the phone
- 4. should be useful to have a keyboard 0-9 to access the channels (for example 123...) organized as a grid (see the (6)) Sofabaton said: a macro command can be created to achieve direct channel access...
- 5. Need a more complete API to control either the activities/devices (or better: anything else with a http url). Also need a local API.
- 6. Possibility to have a different display for the "home" of the X1 (activities and devices): in grid instead of list. (two keys per line and a scrolling from left to right then bottom, then left to right, ...)
- 7. Could be better to have a menu "set" less accessible on the X1 (for example we could reach this menu by pressing a key a long time
- 8. Add new languages (french: I can help to translate)
- 9. There should be a difference of behaviour when we press the "off" button on the X1 remote and a "switch to another activity".
Perhaps most of us are using a X1 cause it was the only remote control available to replace the Harmony Ultimate. But now we are starting to see new ones on kickstarter, which seems also interesting and offering a lot of options. Hope you'll be able to be more reactive and able to take into account our needs.
I would appreciate that a developer read these lines and confirm me all that is possible in a close roadmap.
Regards,
PS: I finally found the edit button...
