In addition to my Arris VIP5002W BT (not yet supported) device, I have 3 more devices. All can be operated with IR, two devices hang on the wall, including my Samsung TV and soundbar. I also have a Philips Hue sync box behind the wall.
I do not yet have a Sofabaton remote control, but I am considering purchasing one if I can also operate everything with it, of course.
I now compare everything with my current remote control, the Harmony Comapnion.
It can operate all devices, including those behind the wall, but not the Arris VIP5002W because it is operated via bluetooth and that is not supported. I hope to be able to do that in the future with a Sofabaton remote control.
Can I also control the Hue sync box behind the wall with an ir repeater or is that not possible. If possible, which one would you recommend?
Will the hub that comes with the X1 also be available separately for operation with the U2?
If I have read it correctly, you cannot create activities with the U2, but you can create macros with which you can imitate an activity, correct?
Macros can contain IR and BT signals?
I think the price difference between the U2 and the X1 is quite big, so if I can do everything with the U2 that I can do with the Harmony Companion now, then that's enough for me.
I would like to hear a response to all my questions.
