Hi All,
This one has me (and Sofabaton support) puzzled. I just installed new built in cabinets and moved the X1 Hub into the cabinet. I have an IR extender cable routed from the botton of my TV into the cabinet so I can plug it into the hub.
For a couple weeks, while waiting for an electrician to finish work, I had the hub physically located in the cabinet, but plugged in outside of it. The IR extender cable was plugged in and everything worked great. The electrician came to add the outlet to the interior of the cabinet, I disconnected the hub and took it out while they did their work. Plugged everything back in, and the X1 remote no longer controls the TV. After some testing I assumed something fried inside the hub that reiceved the IR blaster signal.
What I've tried:
- Moving the hub outside of the cabinet, with and without IR extender cable (X1 is able to control the TV)
- Run a brand new IR extender cable from the X1 to outside the cabinet (X1 does NOT control TV)
- Add second extender cable in different locations (X1 does NOT control TV)
- Replaced the hub with a new one from Softbaton support (same outcomes as above, generally doesn't control the TV unless the hub is close to it)
I have a surround sound receiver which is located in the cabinet with the X1 Hub, that works just fine. I also have a WiFI Roku which works just fine.
Any ideas on something else to try?
