Harmon Karmon receiver input issue

I have everything except my Harman Kardon AVR1710S  working with X1.  Power,  Disc and am/fm work, but unable to program other input sources.   The AVR remote works to switch sources and I have attempted to use it to program X1.  The Sofabaton app said it finds IR signal when programming,  but it does not trigger the input source when testing.
