Macros

Hi everyone, I'm very close to purchasing the U1 however just have one simple question it may be dumb but I see no mention of it on fourms. Does the macro feature allow you to create a sequence on the same device? For example, on the SAME TV, turn down the volume by 1 and then return to the home screen. The reason I ask is because I want to purchase the remote for my grandmother who is not tech savvy at all. I would simply want to set up the macro to navigate her to youtube easily so go to the home screen then navigate right then enter on the SAME TV. Would this work?
